At TAS Environmental Services LP, the Transportation Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a facility’s transportation department, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of goods and/or services. They manage a team of drivers and dispatchers, review scheduled routes, maintain vehicles, and ensure compliance with regulations like DOT.

Requirements

Class A CDL is REQUIRED
Ability to read, write and do mathematics
Compliance and Risk Management: Ability to ensure work is done within industry regulations while upholding TAS’ safety requirements, ensuring all employees adhere to rules and regulations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times
The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds
Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders
May occasionally deal with heights
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Consists of both office setting and physical jobsite

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct daily workload of transportation department, which is comprised of dispatchers and drivers
Ensure proper staffing based on the volume of pickups that are scheduled
Address customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries. Escalate serious complaints and/or incidents to the Operations Manager
Monitor and ensure completion of department specific safety tasks according to the TAS safety program
Prioritize safety by ensuring drivers adhere to safety protocols, conduct safety training/meetings and implement safety procedures per TAS’ safety program
Ensure adherence to transportation laws and regulations, including DOT and other relevant agencies
Monitor vehicle condition, oversee the repair schedules, and ensure vehicles are in proper working order
