Position Title: Registrar, Trauma Department: Trauma Services Location: MercyOne Genesis - Davenport, IA Schedule: M-F, day shift hours with flexible start time between 7a-8a No weekends or holidays Purpose: Supports the Genesis Medical Center Trauma Program and Emergency Department. Works closely with the Trauma Coordinator and assists with maintaining the trauma registry, which includes data entry into the National Trauma Data Bank including collecting and processing trauma data capturing the National Trauma Data Standards data set for all trauma patients.

Requirements

Education: 2 year college program or equivalent experience
Field Of Study: Nursing or Paramedic
Special Training: Previously attended or attend within 12 months of hire: 1) American Trauma Society's Trauma Registrar course, and 2) Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine's Injury Scaling Course.
Licensure/Registration: LPN or Paramedic, licensed in Iowa
Experience: More than 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

Supports the Genesis Medical Center Trauma Program and Emergency Department.
Works closely with the Trauma Coordinator and assists with maintaining the trauma registry
Data entry into the National Trauma Data Bank including collecting and processing trauma data capturing the National Trauma Data Standards data set for all trauma patients.
