About The Position

The Travel ISP Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding Independent Service Providers (ISPs) for final mile home delivery operations. This role focuses on recruiting ISPs that operate box trucks equipped with lift gates and provide a driver and helper team. The recruiter will work on-site at customer DCs and travel to surrounding areas to meet location-specific recruiting needs. This position ensures compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company requirements while maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • Experience recruiting drivers or ISPs in transportation or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and final mile delivery requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently ( approximately 75% travel required ).
  • Proficiency with recruiting platforms (Tenstreet experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for final mile delivery or home delivery services.
  • Familiarity with box truck operations and lift gate requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and retain qualified ISPs for final mile delivery services.
  • Conduct on-site and local recruiting activities, including job fairs, networking, and cold calling.
  • Develop and maintain a pool of qualified applicants using tools such as Tenstreet, social media, and industry networks.
  • Pre-screen ISPs for compliance with DOT, MC Authority, insurance, and operational requirements.
  • Validate carrier eligibility early to prevent downstream delays or disqualifications.
  • Communicate effectively with operations teams regarding recruiting needs and candidate status.
  • Ensure all required documentation and background checks are completed prior to onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records in Tenstreet for audit readiness.
  • Travel as needed to customer DCs and surrounding areas to support recruiting efforts.
  • Verify DOT and MC Authority status, insurance coverage, and UCR compliance.
  • Ensure completion of background checks, drug screens, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Validate business identity, address consistency, and financial readiness (ACH/bank info).
  • Confirm operational readiness, including number of trucks and team details.
