About The Position

Step into a transformative opportunity as a Registered Nurse — First Assist in California, where surgical precision meets compassionate care and every case offers a chance to shape outcomes. In Templeton, you’ll join a high-caliber perioperative team that values your expertise, trust, and judgment as you partner with surgeons to plan, scrub, and assist through complex procedures. Your influence extends from meticulous instrument handling to proactive patient advocacy, helping patients move from the operating room to recovery with confidence. And when you’re not in the OR, California’s breathtaking backdrop awaits—the rolling vineyards of Paso Robles, the pristine coast along the Pacific, the rugged beauty of the Santa Lucia mountains, and golden sunsets that cap your day after a meaningful shift. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to contribute to care that resonates far beyond the surgical suite. Location benefits go beyond Templeton’s inviting community and central coast charm. Templeton offers a supportive, close-knit hospital environment with efficient access to outdoor recreation, dining, and cultural activities that enrich your life outside the hospital. In addition, this role offers the opportunity to work across various locations in the U.S., expanding your professional repertoire and exposing you to diverse patient populations, hospital settings, and surgical teams. You’ll gain adaptability, broadened clinical perspectives, and a wider toolkit for managing complex cases—from outpatient centers to specialty surgical units—while enjoying the advantage of a robust network of colleagues and mentors who value your growth. Role specifics and benefits. As the RNFA, you’ll be at the forefront of operative care. You’ll collaborate with surgeons to anticipate needs, contribute to case planning, and implement enhanced recovery practices that shorten recovery times and improve outcomes. This role is built for growth: cross-training opportunities across specialties, exposure to new techniques, and a clear pathway to expanded perioperative leadership.
