About The Position

The Traveling Project Executive is responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and management for large-scale, complex construction projects. This role ensures the successful execution of projects by collaborating with project managers, field leadership, and clients to meet organizational goals. The Project Executive will focus on developing and mentoring field leadership, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires the flexibility to travel throughout the U.S., accompanied by a competitive travel package.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willing and able to co-locate at the project location with travel package that aligns with the Hunt Electric traveling plan.
  • 12+ years of experience in electrical construction operations, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects, including hyperscale developments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of advanced electrical systems, such as power distribution, critical infrastructure, lighting, HVAC controls, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Adept at driving operations excellence, implementing innovative solutions and maintaining seamless coordination across all phases of hyperscale project execution.
  • Experience with diverse project types and managing a project team simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of labor agreements, union operations, and field workforce management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (Microsoft Projects, Primavara, Bluebeam, Qlik, Spectrum, Accubid Enterprise).

Responsibilities

  • Provide upper-level management support to Project Managers (PMs) and General Foremen (GFs).
  • Lead and mentor field leadership, including General Foremen and other union field supervision, to ensure peak performance and professional growth
  • Collaborate with the VP of National Operations to develop staff planning, labor strategies, and project execution plans.
  • Represent upper management in dealings with labor partners, union representatives, and clients.
  • Oversee a large-scale project ($100M+) to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Review project information, manpower plans, and budgets with field leadership prior to project commencement.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving project-related issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of prefab strategies to improve project efficiency.
  • Ensure field teams utilize the most effective tools, technology, and methods to maximize productivity.
  • Assist PMs and GFs with labor projections and confirm the accuracy of budget updates.
  • Enforce safety culture and ensure compliance with corporate safety standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage performance, training, and development of field leadership, including conducting performance reviews and creating individual development plans.
  • Identify and develop future General Foreman candidates, both internally and externally.
  • Attend conferences and training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment of project goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and solutions to meet their needs.
