DentalEZ in Bay Minette, Alabama is hiring a Traveling Equipment Installer to install dental operatory equipment across the United States. This is a hands-on field technician role where you'll work with cabinetry, mechanical systems, electrical components, and plumbing connections. When you're not traveling for installations, you'll work with our internal team assembling equipment or assisting with technical troubleshooting so you stay productive and continue building your skills. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings
  • Experience with equipment installation, field service, construction, or manufacturing assembly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or electro-mechanical systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • This role requires frequent travel across the United States
  • Travel may occur with minimal notice
  • Must be comfortable flying and driving to job sites
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs independently (100 lbs with assistance)
  • Standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing during installations
  • Frequent use of hand and power tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background checks when required for customer sites

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to install dental and laboratory equipment
  • Read floor plans, installation drawings, and technical instructions
  • Install cabinetry, countertops, and equipment components
  • Connect mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical systems
  • Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and upgrades
  • Coordinate installation activities with contractors and customers
  • Submit installation reports, time records, and travel expenses
  • Assemble products and components using hand and power tools
  • Follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
  • Test and inspect equipment for quality and functionality
  • Record production and testing data
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment issues
  • Assist internal teams or customers with product questions
  • Document service activity and installation feedback
