About The Position

We are seeking a traveling Site Superintendent to join our federal team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the installation of metering systems for buildings on U.S. military and other federal government sites. The first project site that this role will support is the Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX for around one year (military experience is not required) . Future project sites will be U.S. military or other federal government project sites that are to be determined and could be anywhere in the United States, and potentially some global sites (but no designated war zone countries). All travel related expenses and local housing is provided (if not already local to the area). This will be explained further during the interview process. Requirements

  • Project coordination and supervision experience with construction projects in the commercial and/or industrial building construction industry. 5+ years preferred
  • Experience overseeing electrical trades teams in the construction industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or engineering drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for employee supervision and client interface.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and basic Windows environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain military base accesses required for assigned projects (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
  • Ability to travel up to 90%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with projects at U.S. military or other federal government project sites
  • Experience working with project scope of $1 million or larger
  • Associate Degree or Technical Schooling in electrical or electronic systems, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the field construction process of assigned projects in accordance with the plans and specifications, to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer
  • Supervises, inspects, reviews, records and reports on all site construction related activity ensuring that the assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule.
  • Understand and develop means and methods for the construction/installation requirements of the particular project (in conjunction with Project Manager).
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of all employees and subcontractors.
  • Assist with quality control functions per contract (COE) requirements (submittal reviews, daily reports, preparatory meetings and other quality control program features) to ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Enforce, facilitate and follow Company and contract safety requirements. Assist with SSHO functions per company standard practices and per contract requirements.
  • Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress of work with schedule updates (in conjunction with Project Manager)
  • Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with client.
  • Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other groups.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities.
  • Is the primary management team member on the site on a day-to-day basis to identify and correct issues or deficiencies and/or escalate issues and deficiencies up the management chain to Project Manager and/or regional management.
  • Other duties as assigned
