About The Position

Compassion Behavioral Health (CBH) is a leading provider of residential and outpatient behavioral health services, driven by a mission to deliver excellence in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Treatment Advocate to join our Residential Treatment Center. This role is ideal for individuals with strong behavioral health experience who are passionate about providing high-quality support, maintaining clear boundaries, and serving as a key member of a multidisciplinary care team. Position Summary: The Treatment Advocate plays a central role in the day-to-day support and oversight of clients within our program. This position manages a significant portion of each client's direct care needs, ensuring consistency, safety, therapeutic engagement, and adherence to individualized treatment plans. Treatment Advocates serve as the primary link between clients and the clinical team, modeling professionalism, emotional stability, and recovery-oriented principles. This is more than an observational role — it is a professional therapeutic support position requiring excellent communication skills, maturity, compassion, and the ability to maintain boundaries while fostering trust and rapport. Work schedules available: Day shift: 8am to 4:30pm Afternoon shift: 4pm to 12:30am

Requirements

  • Experience working with adult mental health and/or substance-use populations is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and grounded
  • Ability to model positive behavior and maintain firm, compassionate boundaries
  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and emotional maturity
  • Valid driver’s license (clear record required)
  • Ability to pass a Level II background screen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in detox/residential treatment & crisis intervention preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support, supervision, and engagement to adult clients in a residential treatment setting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the clinical team
  • Maintain clear, healthy professional boundaries while offering empathy, structure, and guidance
  • Accurately observe, document, and communicate client behavior, mood, and participation
  • Support clients in following their individualized treatment plans and program schedules
  • Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation using trauma-informed techniques
  • Promote a safe, supportive, recovery-focused environment
  • Work collaboratively with clinical leadership to uphold program quality and client success
