About The Position

Kinsley is seeking an experienced Tri-Axle Driver to join our growing team. Based out of our York, PA office, the driver is responsible for hauling loose construction materials such as asphalt, dirt, rocks, gravel and other aggregates from one location to another. Previous experience driving a tri-axle is preferred by not required. Successful candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B.
  • Must have and maintain clean driving record (MVR).
  • Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contacted in the course of work.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to dispatch office.
  • Must be reliable to get to work on time.
  • Required dress includes safety toed shoes, PPE, shirt with minimum 3" sleeves, long pants.

Responsibilities

  • Drives truck equipped with dump bed hauling loose construction materials from one location to another as instructed. Materials may include sand, dirt, gravel, rocks and paving materials among other aggregates.
  • Comply with all federal and state commercial driving rules and regulations.
  • Maintain driving log/records according to state and federal regulations.
  • Secure all loads according to state and federal regulations.
  • Complete pre-post trip vehicle inspection reports.
  • Clearly communicate with equipment operators and other truck drivers making sure materials are delivered according to the job specifications and timetables.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Must spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of certain materials.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
