About The Position

This is a supervisory position in the Clerk of the District Court Office. This position requires leadership and management abilities. Duties include evaluating, training, developing, and managing assigned employees; providing guidance and information to staff; ensuring proper case management and procedures; working with the public in routine and difficult situations; establishing/maintaining effective communication with District Court employees, judges, public and other agencies; and other assignments as designated by the Clerk of the District Court.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school and one year of court or legal experience. Graduation from an accredited four-year college may be substituted for the required court or legal experience.
  • Computer experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand court procedures, policies and Kansas laws and make decisions accordingly
