About The Position

WRS has immediate openings for experienced Truck Drivers with at least 5 years of related experience in the field. The person(s) who fill this position will be responsible for a range of routine and complex transportation duties in various types of trucks. This includes dump trucks, dump truck and transfers, stellar trucks, belt trailers, tractor fifth wheel trucks, low-boy trucks, etc. About WRS WRS offers a wide range of services in a number of industries. Requirements

  • Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
  • 5+ years of related experience in the field.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, WISHA, WRS and Client safety programs and policies.
  • WRS truck drivers are considered operators of their truck and must be able to perform the functions of the truck to the truck’s capability and the job specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, asphalt paving material, waste material, etc.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned truck.
  • This position may require regular out of town travel, including overnight stays, home every weekend.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, etc.
  • Perform minor truck repairs or reports defects to the maintenance department.
  • Maneuver the truck and trailer in and around tight corners, through various industrial plants and job sites in and around highly congested areas.
  • WRS truck drivers also perform many laboring duties and are expected to be able and willing to perform those duties. They may be asked to work in the warehouse, stand a fire watch, hole watch or pump watch. They may also be asked to be a truck spotter or rider.   • Maintain and protect all WRS property. Ensure all equipment is returned in the same condition it was lent.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with all Federal, State, WRS and Client Health & Safety standards.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and supports company goals and objectives.
  • Oversight Responsibilities: From time-to-time a WRS truck driver may be asked to give oversight to a job. That assignment will be delegated by WRS management to an employee who is deemed qualified to lead a specific job.
