About The Position

The desired candidate for Used Truck Sales Representative works with the Manager and other sales staff to meet and exceed company goals and objectives and to learn the inner workings of the Rihm Kenworth sales department. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Position Responsibilities: Become familiar with Kenworth/Paccar information systems and the ability to learn warranty programs, service information, TruckTech+, etc. Assess and prepare reconditioning plan on trades. Obtain estimates for repairs, detailing, tires, etc. on used trucks. File warranty claims with service departments and arrange truck movements. Maintain inventory levels at all Rihm Kenworth locations. Review and approve purchase orders. Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements. Marketing Responsibilities: Recommends, analyzes, and manages used truck advertising media. Maintains and updates new and used truck inventory on the Company websites such as rihmkenworth.com, truckpaper.com, and SOARR. Photograph trucks and maintain photo files. Work with the Marketing Department to create social media posts. Other marketing duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Class B CDL
  • 3+ years commercial truck and/or heavy equipment experience
  • Background and understanding of trucks and trucking equipment
  • Customer service experience
  • Honest and reputable, both in representation of company and products
  • Thorough, detailed, and effective in all forms of communication
  • Persistent and motivated
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate others
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel and well-developed PC and keyboard skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and manners

Nice To Haves

  • Department management experience in truck sales
  • Service writing/advising experience
  • Experience working in a truck repair facility
  • College degree (Business/Management/Sales)
