About The Position

Alpha Building Center is a fast-growing company that is looking to further expand our design capability. We are currently seeking an organized and detailed individual to add to our growing Truss manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient truss designs that meet project specifications and building codes.

Requirements

Must be a team player.
Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and customers.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to navigate POS system and prepare quotes.
Experience in roof truss design and familiarity with design software (e.g., MiTek, Alpine, or similar).
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Nice To Haves

Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
Sketchup / CAD: 1 year (Preferred)
MiTek: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Design roof trusses using industry-standard software.
Review architectural and structural plans to develop accurate designs.
Communicate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design requirements are met.
Provide technical support and solutions to design-related challenges.
Ensure compliance with building codes and company standards.
Prepare detailed drawings and documentation for production.
