About The Position

The Trust Sales/Support Assistant is responsible for departmental Board Governance in addition to client service and sales support of Trust Administrators and Portfolio Managers.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret a variety of documents and reports, including statistical information.
  • Must have a professional appearance and manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Post High School education or 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in the banking industry.
  • Experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Board Governance and Departmental Responsibilities
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly Oversight and Directors board materials
  • Assist with Audit preparation gathering requested data and report generation
  • Monitor daily balancing of Trust Accounting System and reconcilement of general ledger and custody accounts
  • Upload/Download files for performance calculations, OFAC screening and securities corporate actions
  • Client Service
  • Prepare client and prospect presentations / proposals
  • Create and prepare reports for institutional client board meetings
  • Manage client correspondence
  • Prepare, organize and retain client account documents including opening and closing accounts
  • Process distributions and establish recurring transactions
  • Coordinate transfer of assets
  • Monitor and process client IRS Required Minimum Distributions for clients
  • Prepare, compile and maintain client account information for annual tax reporting
  • Responsible for client account tax payments
  • Client relations marketing gifts and department supplies
  • Support Trust Administrators/ Portfolio Managers as necessary
  • Administration
  • Answer telephone calls
  • Process and manage mail
  • Schedule appointments
  • Serve as backup for Trust Operations Specialist
