The wind Turbine Controls Engineer role handles the full lifecycle of wind turbine controls development – development of new technologies, design and implementation on the actual product, prototype, testing, and field issue resolution. In this role you will develop controls software for the wind turbine mechanical and electrical components. This role provides first-hand knowledge of wind turbines & controls system design. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Proficient in Matlab Simulink

Responsibilities

  • Gather software level requirements, and execute wind turbine controls system and software development
  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and develop comprehensive requirements for wind turbine software features and components
  • Develop test cases for new or existing wind turbine control features
  • Create engineering documentation
