Requirements

  • Genuine passion for early childhood education
  • Experience working with toddlers (1 year preferred; 6 months required)
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Ability to meet all Oklahoma DHS licensing requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with young children throughout the day
  • Employees are responsible for maintaining all required professional development through the Oklahoma Registry (OK Registry) . Staff must keep their training current and in good standing at all times while employed. Required trainings and certifications may not expire during employment, and it is the employee’s responsibility to schedule and complete training as needed to remain compliant with state licensing requirements.
  • Employment is contingent upon maintaining eligibility to work in a licensed childcare facility.
  • Is confident in setting and maintaining classroom boundaries
  • Can redirect behavior calmly and consistently
  • Understands that structure and routine are essential for preschool success
  • Demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and accountability
  • Balances warmth with high expectations
  • Works collaboratively with support staff and families

Nice To Haves

  • CDA, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P.® Curriculum with creativity and enthusiasm
  • Support children through key developmental milestones including language development, social-emotional growth, independence skills, and early potty training readiness
  • Begin the process of potty training support , including helping children learn bathroom routines and partnering with families to encourage consistency between home and school
  • Maintain classroom management and structure appropriate for two-year-olds
  • Complete daily lesson plans and developmental observations
  • Communicate regularly with families through our mobile app and in-person conversations
  • Maintain compliance with Oklahoma DHS licensing requirements
  • Model professionalism and teamwork within the center
  • Maintaining classroom order and ensuring children remain safely within required teacher-to-child ratios at all times.
  • Active participation in potty training support , including assisting children with bathroom routines and accidents in accordance with licensing and sanitation standards.
