About The Position
Position Overview C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C and S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Job Description Benefits from day 1! Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
- Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements
- Enjoy working with people.
- Quality and customer-service focused.
- Comply with FMCSR, DOT, Company policies and procedures
- 1-2 : Minimum driving/delivering experience
- 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
- 1-2 : One year of recent applicable experience
- Attendance, Initiative, Productivity, Quality, Safety, Values
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C and S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck, eighteen-wheeler, box truck, etc.)
- Applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
- Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
- Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
- Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
- All other duties as assigned
