About The Position
The UGE Leadman is responsible for leading the crew in the installation/repair of underground lines in a safe manner while maintaining the required quality standards. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel within the department.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 2 years of related experience or training.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- 3 or more years of experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in construction and/or the utility industry.
- CDL Class A license.
Responsibilities
- Supervise UGE Laborer/ Groundman staff to include training and coaching.
- Gather materials for the job that day and make sure the crew has everything required.
- Distribute material at job site safely.
- Help with any work necessary to complete the job.
- Operate construction and jobsite equipment safely, such as rubber-tired backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, asphalt paving machine, etc.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
