UH-60M SME and Test Engineer

About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a UH-60M Black Hawk Subject Matter Expert to support our Redstone Arsenal, AL location. This position is to provide SME support as an Integration and Test Engineer to the Improved Turbine Engine Program (ITEP) for the integration and flight test of the T901 engine in the Black Hawk helicopter. The Candidate Will: Support the planning, resourcing, and execution of ITEP’s ground and flight testing activities for the integration of the Improved Turbine Engine (ITE) into the UH-60M aircraft. Oversee and manage the day ‐ to ‐ day ITE/UH-60M test activities, and communicate and coordinate results and issues with other ITEP functional areas. Collaborate with aircraft and engine Prime Contractors’ program, technical leads and other personnel to ensure technical work tasks are identified, defined, scheduled, resourced, and executed. Supports ITE Test Lead to manage prime contractor performance and flight test activities to meet technical requirements, develop program plans and cost/budget and schedule estimates. Supports Government review and approval of contractor test plans and test reports. Identifies and manages risks associated with qualification and testing efforts. Coordinates with other ITE Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), UH PO air vehicle teams and OEMs to ensure all ITEP stakeholders are informed and kept abreast of the status of the ITE integration effort.

Requirements

Subject Matter Expert level of knowledge of H-60M systems and operations
Experience and knowledge of aircraft ground and flight test planning, resourcing, and execution.
Experience with airworthiness requirements, integration and system-level qualification for aircraft systems and subsystems
Program Management and IPT experience, including contract Statements of Work, CDRL and data management, Integrated Master Schedules, requirements verification and validation, and configuration management.
Familiarity with principles of gas turbine engine operation and engine and engine control system integration.
Ability to work effectively with others and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of teams consisting of multiple stakeholders to conduct comprehensive verification efforts and successfully execute problem resolution when required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Travel: 25 %
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire and to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Master's Degree and 10 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 18 years of experience
22 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education at the customer's discretion.
