UI/UX Designer

About the position

Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote UI/UX Designer to join their team in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about crafting engaging and user-friendly digital experiences, particularly for data-driven applications. You'll work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to transform complex requirements into intuitive, elegant designs that make sophisticated analytics accessible and actionable.

Responsibilities

• Design modern, responsive interfaces that deliver excellent user experiences for complex data environments
• Transform user needs and business goals into wireframes, prototypes, and final designs for analytics-heavy platforms
• Create intuitive navigation and information architecture for multi-layered data visualizations and reporting interfaces
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth implementation of designs while maintaining data integrity and performance
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and refine design decisions, particularly focusing on how users interact with analytical tools
• Maintain consistency in branding, visual design, and interaction patterns across complex data interfaces
• Design effective data visualization layouts that balance comprehensiveness with clarity
• Stay current with UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in analytics and data presentation

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design with demonstrated expertise in analytics interface design
• Strong portfolio showcasing web or app design projects that feature heavy analytic interfaces, dashboards, or data visualization components
• Proven experience designing websites and applications that provide complex analytical capabilities while maintaining user-friendly experiences
• Experience with data visualization principles and best practices for presenting complex information
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and information architecture for data-rich environments
• Understanding of how users consume and interact with analytical data and reporting tools
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts and engineers
• Ability to clearly communicate design concepts and present to stakeholders, including technical explanations of analytics interface decisions
