Harmonia is seeking a high-performing UI/UX Developer to work within a fast-paced, remote Agile DevOps team, contributing and collaborating within your scrum team daily. In this role, the UI/UX Developer will accomplish the following: Work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team, contributing and collaborating within your scrum team on a daily basis. Collect and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design flows using Figma, storyboards, and sitemaps. Design and implement intuitive, accessible user interfaces for enterprise web applications leveraging ReactJS and the FINCH stack. Develop UI elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, navigation buttons, and search fields. Build and maintain responsive and accessible UI mockups and prototypes that clearly demonstrate user flows and system behaviors. Translate mockups into production-ready front-end code integrated with REST APIs and microservices. Conduct usability testing to identify and resolve UX issues, iterating designs based on user feedback. Ensure consistency in fonts, colors, and imagery across applications, adhering to established branding and Section 508 compliance standards. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI designs into full-stack solutions. Participate in CI/CD-driven workflows to ensure UI components move efficiently through the pipeline.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable Certifications or experience
  • 2-4 years of UI/UX design and front-end development experience for web applications.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) for wireframes, prototypes, and flows.
  • Strong ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript skills for building accessible, responsive UIs.
  • Demonstrated Section 508/WCAG compliance (semantic HTML, contrast testing, keyboard navigation, screen reader validation).
  • Experience creating and implementing design systems or component libraries (e.g., Material UI).
  • Experience integrating UIs with REST APIs.
  • Hands-on with automated UI testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium).
  • Experience contributing to usability testing and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Strong portfolio or case studies demonstrating design process and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present design rationale and collaborate across teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS), enough to work within DevOps pipelines.
  • Awareness of microservices concepts and how they shape UI/API contracts.
  • Basic knowledge of secure UI coding and how DevSecOps scans affect front-end code.
  • Familiarity with analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory) and A/B testing to inform design.
  • Experience with accessibility tooling (axe, Lighthouse, Wave, NVDA/JAWS).
  • Familiarity with backend technologies (Java Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Kafka) to collaborate effectively with full-stack teams.
  • DHS/USCIS project experience preferred.
