Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support internal tools and dashboards using Retool.
- Gather feedback from users and iterate on UI/UX improvements.
- Work closely with product managers and software engineers to build efficient and user-friendly internal applications.
- Design custom Retool components to meet specific needs and pair with software engineers to implement them.
- Ensure a high level of usability, accessibility, and responsiveness in all UI components.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining front-end tools.
- Document and help support best practices to foster a collaborative development culture.
- Write clear, concise documentation for both engineers and end users.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in front-end development, UX, or Design with JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks.
- Experience working with Retool or similar tools and frameworks.
- Strong UX and design intuition, with an ability to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Understanding of git best practices.
- Acute listening skills and patience to deeply understand user challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and team-first mentality.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Energetic self-starter and independent thinker, with strong attention to detail.
- Eager to work with highly skilled and dynamic teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical setting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with SQL and database design for optimizing queries.
- Background in data visualization and dashboard design.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup or SaaS environment.
