Ultrasound Sonographer - Per Diem
About The Position
The sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider. The Sonographer provides information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and responds to the patient's questions and concerns. The Sonographer recognizes the patient's individuality and provides quality care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner using professional and ethical judgment. The diagnostic medical sonographer maintains continued competence through lifelong learning, which includes continuing education, acquisition of specialty specific credentials, and recredentialing. Hours: Per Diem
Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- Post High School Diploma Program
- Relevant Experience
- BLS Certification
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (OB or AB and RVT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(S) and RT(VS)
