About The Position

AMI is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to join the team! AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. At AMI, Ultrasound Technologists perform a variety of Ultrasound studies, including General, Vascular and Women’s Imaging, working closely with Radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs ultrasonographic examinations in accordance with established policy. Ensures a proper explanation of the procedure has been given and understood by the patient, and, if required, appropriate consent forms have been signed. Assists patients on and off tables, using appropriate lift assist devices as warranted. Completes the patient's record of documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Completes aseptic technique training and maintains an aseptic standard of care for associated examinations. Ensures that ultrasonic imaging equipment is in operational condition, per established Quality Control procedures. Notifies the Chief Technologist when equipment requires servicing or repair. Provides input into the process of determining the expansion, growth, development and introduction of new ultrasonography services, equipment and imaging techniques. Performs all other duties as required and assigned. This Per Diem position will provide coverage primarily in the Mullica Hill, Deptford, Woolwich, and Sicklerville offices. Coverage may be scheduled in other offices in the region based on shift availability and department needs. Weekday and Saturday available are required. Generous shift differential applies to Saturday shifts! Per Diem team members are scheduled As Needed, based on staffing coverage an department needs. Weekday shifts include 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts between 7am-8pm. Saturday shifts include 8am-4:30pm. Increased availability for training during the start of employment is required.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be ARDMS registered with at least two (2) years of professional work experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including strong scanning experience in General and Breast or General and Vascular studies.
  • An American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to the start of employment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including RIS systems, are required.
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of Ultrasound operations and diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Technologists must be able to work independently and confidently, with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with patients and other team members, is required for success in this role.
  • A demonstrated commitment to a positive patient experience is required.
