Ultrasound Technologist (Per Diem Temp)
About The Position
Quality Temp Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our team and perform a wide range of diagnostic sonographic procedures. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care, has a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology, and values working in a collaborative healthcare environment. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll perform abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasound exams, including the use of Doppler technology. You’ll work directly with patients to ensure their comfort during procedures, accurately analyze and document findings, and support physicians in the diagnostic process.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Must have at least 1 year of Ultrasound experiment
- Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable
- Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
- Must have Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
- Current Annual Health Clearance
Responsibilities
- Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation during examinations.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, recognizing normal and abnormal anatomy and documenting findings for physician review.
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies. Use Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment during ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training.
