About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Ultrasound Technologists to support the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 13210. Requirements

  • RDMS certification (abdomen, OB/GYN, breast as applicable)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing required ultrasound and vascular studies
  • Experience with vascular imaging (arterial, venous, Doppler studies)
  • Knowledge of digital imaging and PACS systems
  • English language proficiency (spoken and written)
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Completion of VA‑required training and credentialing
  • Ongoing continuing education and competency verification
  • Background check, immunizations, TB testing, and VA onboarding clearance

  • All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Nice To Haves

  • Phillips EPIQ 7 or EPIQ 5 experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:
  • Abdomen, pelvis, renal, small parts, OB/GYN, scrotal, chest
  • Vascular studies: carotid, venous Doppler, arterial studies, ABI, vein mapping
  • Ensure optimal image quality and proper equipment settings
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and PACS systems
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes
  • Document exams and enter results into VA electronic systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper disinfection of equipment
  • Follow infection control, safety, and VA clinical protocols
  • Communicate clearly with patients and clinical staff
  • Document delayed exams with reason and follow‑up plan
