About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida is seeking a UM Administration Coordinator who will contribute to the administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. The UM Administration Coordinator: Provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques. Works under limited guidance due to previous experience and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of administrative or technical support experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment and an ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical record and/or documentation programs.
  • ACHA Level II Background Check is required.
  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience.
  • Proficiency and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes.
  • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization.
