As an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge activity as needed, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Have a guard card/license, preferred.
• Have access control/badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and building activity, verifying visitor authorization when required and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and promptly report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns through the designated channels.
