Underground Utility Laborer
About The Position
Experienced Construction Laborer – Wet Utilities Native Sun is hiring experienced Construction Laborers to support wet utility crews installing and repairing underground water, sewers , and storm systems on heavy civil projects. This role is for skilled workers with underground utilities experience who want steady work and a path toward lead or operator roles. Location : Grand Junction Starting Pay Range: $22–$30 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements
- Proven wet or underground utilities field experience on heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working around heavy equipment; operating experience (excavator, skid steer, loader) is a strong plus.
- Ability to work outdoors all day, lift 50+ lbs, and follow trench and jobsite safety rules.
- Reliable, strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude; willing to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Install and assist with underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm) to line and grade.
- Perform trench work, pipe laying, setting structures, backfilling, and compaction with the crew.
- Work safely around heavy equipment and in/around trenches and excavations in all weather.
- Use hand tools, small equipment, and basic layout tools (lasers/levels) to support production.
