About The Position

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Underwriting Support Supervisor - Aviation to join a team. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence every 3 days out of the week. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the underwriting support team, ensuring high-quality output, fostering collaboration, and driving engagement. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (7 years of relevant insurance experience may substitute for a degree).
Minimum of 3 years of insurance experience with exposure to leadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of underwriting support processes and procedures.
Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms, as well as system testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the underwriting support team by fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Oversee training and ensure the delivery of high-quality work by account management staff.
Coordinate and manage workloads to meet production and service expectations.
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, team meetings, and one-on-one discussions with staff.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive team engagement and create a motivating work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
