About The Position

Sustainment & Restoration Services (SRS) is an 8(a) firm that provides engineering, science, construction, munitions, and specialized professional services solutions for customers nationwide. SRS has an immediate opening for an Unexploded Ordnance Safety Officer (UXOSO) in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Applicant must meet the minimum requirements for the position as provided in the Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP-18). Will do and/or assist the Senior Unexploded Ordnance Supervisor (SUXOS) with the following “Project Specific” Activities: Complying with Site-Specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP), Work Plan (WP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), and any instructions/directions provided by the Munitions Response Services Operations Manager. Performing daily worksite safety inspections across the worksite and performing daily operational and safety inspections of company provided tools, equipment, and vehicles. Identifying and evaluating the risk associated with hand movement of each Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) item encountered in coordination with the Senior Unexploded Ordnance Supervisor (SUXOS) and making an “acceptable to move” determination.
