About The Position

The unit clerk is responsible for the clerical functions on the unit, acts as a receptionist for the program, and is under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager. In addition, the clerk will prepare charts for admission, assist with discharge paperwork distribution.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a hospital clerical role
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Has organizational skills
• Skills in organizing and prioritizing work/time
• Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and writing
• Ability to use standard office equipment
• Ability to read and to write legible
• Ability to work well with others in difficult situations
