About The Position

Unit Secretary (06451) Position Summary Provides administrative support for scheduling, admitting, medical records, discharge planning, and secretarial functions for the department. Performs limited patient-related activities for the following populations: Neonate/Infant and Pediatric. Functions in a multi-skilled environment requiring customer service and clerical skills with some patient-related activities. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Neonate/Infant and Pediatric. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens possible but minimal. Physical Requirements: Constant computer and clerical work; frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, and light physical activity. Rare exposure to biological or chemical hazards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Customer service skills
  • Clerical skills
