Universal EVS Worker demands good physical and mental health. This is repetitive, manual labor involving a wide variety of cleaning, and custodial tasks, and the worker must be able to move continuously during work hours. Sweep and mop resident rooms, halls, stairways, elevators, and other areas assigned. Clean and scour toilets, tubs, and showers in patient tub rooms and all public bathrooms, supplying paper and hand soap as necessary. Clean lounge furniture, nursing stations, medicine and treatment rooms, tub and shower rooms, clinic area, and other ancillary and activity areas. Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through cleaning of equipment and furnishings. Helps sort soiled linen, folds clean linens, and processes resident laundry. Must clean up human waste and other body fluids, also responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
