About The Position

The Role: Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a UPE Process Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. This role will be supporting the ultra high weight polyethylene (UPE) department to manufacture membranes for liquid filtration for the semi-conductor industry primarily. This role will aid the process engineer in driving process improvements, maintaining SOPs and training, and supporting the day-to-day troubleshooting and work on the line. Typical improvement efforts will improve quality, drive down cost and/or increase output. Requirements

  • Data-driven and hands-on approach
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to complete tasks in timely manner
  • Knowledge of Minitab or willingness to learn
  • Curiosity, asking questions, and providing your input to the team
  • Ability to drive tasks independently and work in a team environment
  • Working towards a degree in chemical, mechanical or similar engineering
  • Graduating 2027 or later
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in June, working through December.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

  • Ability to lift 5-10 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Develop plan for updating SOPs as needed
  • Data mining and analysis in Minitab
  • Make conclusions recommendations based on data analysis
  • Perform yield analysis
  • Participate in Gemba walks and look for lean and safety improvements
  • Perform membrane characterization testing
