Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Basic math skills
Ability to perform one or more functions of deboning process
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
Stand up to 8 hours
Lift up to 60 lbs
Work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
Will be exposed to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving production equipment
Ability to lift 10 lbs repeatedly and climb steps
Ability to frequently kneel, crawl, stoop, and bend
Work around raw, live animal odors

Responsibilities

Load and weigh all feed trucks with appropriate feed type and correct quantity.
Operate automated feed bulk load out system.
Weigh ingredient trucks and operate auto-receiving system when receiving operator is not available.
Provide documentation on feed invoices and ingredient weight tickets as directed by supervisor.
Operate trucks on yard, must be able to drive a straight shift truck
Must have the ability to become a certified weigher per regulatory requirements.
Must have the ability to be certified for forklift operation.
Communicate to Lead Person or supervisor any issues that interfere with load out operations.
Must have the ability to keep all records required in an orderly and presentable manner.
Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must be able to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision.
Must have the ability to cooperate with other mill and maintenance employees, as well as truck drivers.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with contract producers.
Assist with receiving trucks when needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must be able to cover additional shifts any time other load out operators are on vacation or callout.
