About The Position
The Utility Officer undertakes general and routine grounds and/or maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly, safe and instructionally supportive physical school environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
- Accreditation A: Accreditation to work in a Catholic school, or willingness to work towards
- Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC)
- Certificate 1 in relevant field or equivalent
- Current Tasmanian driver licence.
- Hold or willing to obtain Medium Rigid Bus Licence
Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens and grounds including mowing and brush cutting.
- Mark lines on school ovals/grounds for sporting events.
- Set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events at the School.
- Prioritise and complete allocated work plan in accordance with school requirements.
- Maintain hand and power tools and equipment to ensure they are safe.
- Complete daily security routines (unlocking and locking buildings) and safety inspections of school grounds and equipment.
