About The Position

As a Utility (Packaging) team member, you will support the packaging operations of our peanut/peanut-products facility. You will help ensure equipment runs properly, production quality is maintained, housekeeping and sanitation standards are met, and you’ll work collaboratively across shifts, departments and personnel. This is a physically active role in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts and heavy operational focus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to learn machine operations, follow procedures
  • Strong reliability / attendance record
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts, weekends/holidays, overtime when necessary
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment: standing for long periods, moving through plant, exposure to noise, dust, forklifts/vehicles
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written), ability to work as team member across shifts
  • Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, sanitation — able to follow established procedures and complete required documentation
  • Flexibility to learn and perform new or changing tasks as operations demand
  • Must pass background check / other pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor and adjust packaging equipment to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
  • Maintain a positive, safe attitude and adhere to company safety policies, contributing to a strong safety record.
  • Maintain good attendance and reliability — show up on time, ready for shift, able to work scheduled hours including weekend/holiday/shift rotations.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel across shifts and departments (supervisors, adjacent departments, other shifts) to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain production rates as assigned, meet targets for throughput, quality and uptime.
  • Perform housekeeping, sanitation and other basic maintenance tasks in your area (clean up spills, ensure equipment is clean, maintain safe walkways, complete required sanitation duties and paperwork).
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment or area, report any anomalies, malfunctions, or quality issues to maintenance or supervisor.
  • Review and complete quality control documentation, make required adjustments as needed, and ensure product meets specification.
  • Understand and perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision but also be ready to work as part of a team when needed.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to support packaging operations and continuous improvement.
  • Must successfully complete background check as part of onboarding.
