The Utilities Department is seeking a Utility Plant Operator I to join the team! Under general supervision, the Utility Plant Operator I assists in operating power plant auxiliary systems, supports Utility Plant Operator II personnel, and performs maintenance duties. This position requires working rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation to help provide reliable energy to the Iowa State University campus About the Department The Iowa State University Utilities Department is a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing reliable, economical, and sustainable energy to campus. Operating a state-of-the-art Power Plant, the department ensures uninterrupted heating, cooling, and electricity for over 30,000 students, faculty, and staff each day.
