About The Position

The purpose of this position is to maintain City grounds, right of ways, and facilities, roadways, drainage, and/or install and repair City sewer and/or water services equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Digs holes, installs piping, and performs debris removal after job is complete. Installs, repairs, and services sewers, sewer mains, manholes, and sewer cleanouts. Loads truck with supplies and materials needed to complete the job. Clear Right of Way by performing landscaping as needed per job. Supplemental Functions: Performs other similar duties as required.

Requirements

• Machinery and hand tools of the trade
• Utility construction
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
• Applicants must meet the City criteria for an acceptable driving record.
