About The Position
Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs. The Utility Worker - Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils. All appropriate training and personal protective equipment (PPE), including uniforms and safety shoes, will be provided to keep you and your family safe and healthy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum Age Requirement: 18
- No related work experience
- Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential
Responsibilities
- Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
- Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
- Sweeps, mops, cleans, and vacuums floors
- Removes trash and garbage to designated areas
- Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room
- Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
- Polishes silver
- Washes pots
- Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
