About The Position

The Digital Experience Design team (DXD) is at the convergence of technological innovation, creativity, and opportunity at Comcast. We believe in the magical blend of art and science to create imaginative ideas, products, and services. With an entrepreneurial and collaborative approach, we craft omnichannel digital services and applications that deliver results for our business partners and craft content using UX best practices. As a UX team, we believe the most powerful messages you can ever craft are the ones that get someone to act—and that’s what our Copywriters do day in, day out. We are looking for builders who value accountability in creativity, and follow through with breakthrough solutions that effectively attract and retain Xfinity customers. This role is obsessed with crafting impactful content that both drives business needs and puts the customer front and center. This person will be a stickler for details, someone who loves grammar and proper punctuation, and spots a typo a mile away. In this role, you will learn both the art and science of crafting headlines and digital copy, across multiple brand initiatives. You will be tasked with taking multiple pieces of information and skillfully distilling them to create simple, impactful solutions

Requirements

  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Portfolio of relevant work
  • Must be willing, able, and excited to roll up sleeves and write
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work fast and iterate on copy in a strategic, focused manner
  • Comfort with digital tools and systems
  • Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.
  • Own the customer experience - think and act in ways that put our customers first, give them seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and make them promoters of our products and services.

  • Digital Advertising and/or Marketing background a plus, but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Work together with UX designers and Creative Directors on all requests from conception to delivery.
  • Learn to partner seamlessly with key stakeholder groups: marketing, sales, brand, business units, and product owners.
  • Approach all work with a content strategy lens: start with the “why” of the request, assess business and customer needs, and work with team on discovering new solutions
  • Constantly push for overall consistency of written copy across all projects.
  • Developing web copy that adheres to UX best practices across multiple projects, product and experience offerings
  • Mastering our brand tone of voice, and using that as a guide to create headlines and descriptions for products and services that get people to act
  • Concepting content ideas that help build a broader picture of our brand and services
  • Collaborating with internal teams on quick-fire tasks
  • Ensure all content meets technical delivery specs and appropriate format for distribution.
  • Ensure copy is inclusive and accessible.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
