About the position

The UX/UI Designer at Lams Technology LLC will play a crucial role in the InnovateOhio Platform (IOP) team, focusing on the management and evolution of the design system while creating intuitive and accessible user experiences. This position requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products. The role is hybrid remote, requiring two days in the office weekly, and involves leading design projects and advocating for inclusive design practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the design system by conducting weekly Design Operations meetings and managing the product roadmap.
• Create interactive prototypes for websites, products, and components, refining designs based on user testing and feedback.
• Guide external designers in promoting user experience philosophy and best practices for design system components.
• Define, document, and communicate design guidelines, patterns, and standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and feedback through discussions and design reviews with internal and external teams.
• Advocate for inclusive design practices, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards.

Requirements

• 7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
• 5 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, UXPin, AdobeXD.
• Portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design.
• 2 years of professional experience working with design systems.
