V&V Engineer - AI-Driven Testing & Validation

CapgeminiDallas, TX
2d$65,200 - $169,000Onsite

About The Position

We are seeking a Validation Engineer with an innovative mindset to modernize how we test and validate neuromodulation software applications (e.g., clinician tools, patient apps, therapy management applications, device companion software). This role will apply AI/ML and intelligent automation techniques to transform the test and validation lifecycle—improving speed, coverage, traceability, and defect prevention while meeting medical device quality and regulatory expectations. This is an ideal role for someone who is fluent in V&V rigor and also excited about rethinking testing using AI-assisted approaches such as test generation, risk-based prioritization, log anomaly detection, intelligent regression selection, requirements-to-test mapping, and documentation automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience within Verification & Validation
  • 2+ years of experience applying GenAI to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI-assisted testing approaches and intelligent automation
  • Experienced in Jira, Playwright, GitHub Copilot, Gemini or equivalent GenAI Tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field
  • Experience with neuromodulation devices or other medical device software
  • Certifications in AI/ML

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI-assisted testing approaches to improve effectiveness and reduce cycle time.
  • Identify high-value opportunities to replace manual, repetitive testing with automation + intelligent decisioning while maintaining compliance.
  • Own and execute verification and validation (V&V) for software applications supporting neuromodulation therapy workflows.
  • Develop risk-based test strategies across unit, integration, system, and release validation.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows such as: Therapy setup/configuration support; Patient/clinician workflows and UI behaviors; Data handling, storage, sync, and reporting; Connectivity scenarios (pairing, reconnects, dropped links, offline mode); and Error handling, alarms/notifications, and safe behaviors.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks for web/mobile/desktop applications (as applicable).
  • Establish repeatable, auditable test execution pipelines and improve test reliability (flakiness reduction, stable test environments).
  • Translate hazard analysis outputs (e.g., FMEA, hazard tables) into explicit, testable safety requirements and verification evidence.
  • Ensure validation covers: Safety constraints and guardrails, “Misuse” and human error scenarios, Boundary conditions, stress and performance scenarios, Fail-safe behavior and clear user messaging.
  • Use AI to accelerate documentation while ensuring correctness, reviewability, and compliance (e.g., structured templates, auto-linking evidence).

Benefits

  • Paid time off based on employee grade (A-F), defined by policy: Vacation: 12-25 days, depending on grade, Company paid holidays, Personal Days, Sick Leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage (or provincial healthcare coordination in Canada)
  • Retirement savings plans (e.g., 401(k) in the U.S., RRSP in Canada)
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance programs
  • Other benefits as provided by local policy and eligibility
