About the position

The Vacation Sales Coordinator (Marketing) position is an in-person role located in Washington D.C. This role pays a base wage of $17.50/hour with additional production pay. The annual pay range for this position at The Mayflower Washington D.C. in 2024 is reasonably expected to be between $38,641 - $80,651. There is also a potential sign-on bonus of up to $2000 for candidates with timeshare experience, and up to $1000 for those without. The position involves assisting Owners and guests in creating memorable vacation experiences in a supportive and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with hotel guests at desk locations and providing elevated customer service.
  • Scheduling sales presentations and managing customer expectations.
  • Providing the highest level of service to exceed budgeted sales presentations and volume production goals.
  • Ensuring that all guests who attend a sales presentation meet eligibility requirements and are open to learning more about products and services.
  • Using persuasive techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty.
  • Welcoming and greeting guests; anticipating and addressing their needs.
  • Interacting with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
  • Contributing to team goals.
  • Always following company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated with sales or customer service experience.
  • Enjoy interacting with guests either in person or by phone.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Concierge and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Position may require background and drug screening, in accordance with state and local requirements.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
