About The Position
Nestled at the base of Grandfather Mountain in Linville, North Carolina, Grandfather Golf & Country Club is a seasonal club offering a variety of employment opportunities. Grandfather delivers a fun, upbeat, and busy work atmosphere at a soaring 4,280 feet above sea level with average summer temperatures of 75 degrees. Are you a positive, outgoing, cheerful, and hardworking individual? Our Valet team has considerable interaction with our members and their guests, and are an integral part of the member experience. If you have a friendly demeanor and are outgoing, cheerful, and hardworking, this may be the right opportunity for you. The primary responsibility of this position is to park and retrieve cars in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. Work schedule requires you to be available: November 27th - Thanksgiving November 28th November 29th December 24th - Christmas Eve December 31st - New Year's Eve
Requirements
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a car with a manual transmission
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly when assisting members and guests.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to safely enter, exit, and operate a variety of vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Parks and retrieves cars efficiently.
- Safely handles vehicles.
- Helps members and guests in and out of automobiles; opens lobby doors.
- Issues and collects automobile claim tickets.
- Maintains clean and safe entrances and parking lots.
- Directs members and guests to the desired room.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Dining Operations Manager.
