About The Position

This role supports older adults by providing safe, reliable, and respectful transportation throughout the community. The Van Driver helps participants attend medical appointments, day programs, and other essential destinations while maintaining dignity, comfort, and safety. This position is ideal for someone dependable, patient, and service-oriented who values consistency and meaningful work.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence
Minimum 5 years of safe driving experience
Ability to pass a DOT physical and complete DOT-required driver training
Physically able to assist participants, including wheelchair support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mandarin speaking required
COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved exemption)
Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

Safely transport participants to and from medical appointments, community locations, and day centers
Assist participants entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair support
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct routine safety checks
Report incidents, injuries, or vehicle concerns promptly
Communicate effectively to meet daily transportation needs
Support local activities or errands as assigned
Maintain compliance with transportation safety standards and policies
Perform additional duties as needed
