Responsibilities The PJT Partners Technology team is responsible for creating and continuously improving a robust and secure technology foundation that supports the firm’s business activities. We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement and Vendor Management professional to support the establishment and operations of a new procurement and vendor management function. Reporting to the functional lead, this role will contribute to building right-sized processes and frameworks while also managing day-to-day procurement and vendor-related activities. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of hands-on experience in procurement, vendor risk management, and vendor lifecycle management in a complex or regulated environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
  • 7+ years of direct experience in procurement or vendor management, preferably in a regulated or fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of procurement lifecycle, vendor onboarding, contract lifecycle management and vendor risk principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working cross-functionally
  • Proficiency in procurement and vendor management tools
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage data, identify trends, and generate insights
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and evolving trends in procurement and vendor risk management

Responsibilities

  • Policy & Process Development Support the design and implementation of procurement and vendor management policies, standards, and workflows
  • Ensure policy awareness and adoption across the firm and help train stakeholders as needed
  • Procurement & Vendor Operations Execute and manage procurement activities including purchase requisitions, vendor contract coordination and vendor onboarding
  • Maintain vendor records, ensure documentation compliance, and support contract execution and renewals
  • Vendor Risk & Compliance Contribute to the implementation of vendor risk management practices including risk assessments, due diligence, and monitoring
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Governance & Reporting Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key procurement and risk KPIs/KRIs
  • Prepare materials for senior leadership and participate in governance forums as needed
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Finance, IT, and COO teams to align procurement goals with organizational needs
  • Partner with vendor owners to monitor performance, support issue resolution, and ensure vendors meet service level and contractual obligations
  • Tools & Systems Support the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing use of procurement and vendor management tools.
  • Ensure integration with enterprise systems and contribute to continuous process automation and improvement.
