Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Urbandale Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Verification Champion - 118042 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Verification Champion in the Setup and Start Work space within John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group in Urbandale, Iowa, you will be responsible for testing capabilities across Equipment, Section Control, Next Gen Setup, and Data Sync. Additionally, you will: Enable fast, high-quality solution delivery by owning, defining and executing efficient and innovative verification strategies for complex Precision Agriculture systems. Team integration and support: As part of the development team, it is your responsibility to develop and provide the tools to ensure that quality (both functional and performance) is well integrated into the development process to deliver the product. Customer understanding and requirements development: Verification of the product required a deep understanding of the customer and requirements. As the verification champion, it is your responsibility to ensure the requirements are testable. Test strategy and test plan development Ownership: With a deep understanding of the customer and associated requirements, it is your responsibility to develop the test plan and test strategy to effectively ensure the product meets the requirements as quickly as possible throughout the development cycle. Test environment and test design: Continuing to improve the speed with which we verify function and performance requires innovation and in our test environments and test designs - enabling our testing to shift left in the development cycle and driving controlled/repeatable testing. Test execution: Lead the test team (test automation engineer and technicians) as manual and automated testing is performed to ensure software quality. Test results review: Provide fast & comprehensive feedback to the team regarding system quality and performance through test results reviews. Field test integration: Work with PV&V stakeholders and cooperators to support field verification across the operational design domain (ODD) VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in the design, development, testing, or integration of products that were successfully delivered to the market/production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems
Ability to quickly learn a large breadth of technical content.
Practical working knowledge of CAN or other networking communication protocols
Ownership, curiosity, and demonstrated ability to achieve results through self-directed individual contributions and by inspiring others in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, thrive on breaking down, solving and conveying complex issues to engineers in other disciplines.
Ability to work and thrive in a cross functional team environment.
Willingness to perform on-machine testing at Deere test sites or customer sites.

Nice To Haves

Experience programming with a high-level language such as Python or Matlab.
Prior demonstrated experience developing or testing embedded software solutions
Experience working in a Linux environment
Field experience with products in the Guidance, Autonomy, Precision Ag, Construction, or Road Building industries ideally including direct customer interactions.
