About The Position

The Vertex Lab Space Planning Co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, or other related fields. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our Facilities and Operations functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career. Requirements

Pursing a BS in Facilities Management or Architecture.
Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Capacity to work full-time onsite in Boston, MA.
Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
You must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before December 2026.
You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July – December 2026.

Experience with Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

The Co-op will assist in preparing for an upcoming large-scale lab move into our new building by confirming current locations of lab equipment and conducting various planning activities surrounding move preparation.
The Co-op will also support day-to-day lab space requests for new lab equipment, lab layouts, lab moves, and lab casework changes and will request updates to the master architectural drawings.
The Co-op will interface with the following teams: Lab Space Planning, Workplace Services, Instrumentation Engineering, EHS, Lab Operations, Engineering Documentation, PMO, and Move Consultants along with various scientific end users.
